The mission of the Tanglewood Hillsdale Community Association is to enhance the quality of life and promote community spirit, representing the views of its membership, and participating in charitable, educational and recreational activities.

Clean up the Capital

March 15, 2019: Early bird registration begins. Register your litter pickup or graffiti removal project by April 14 to be eligible to win an early bird prize donated by our generous sponsors.

Pick your project site, your cleanup date (rain date too!), and time. Promote your project and gather your project team. Be sure to plan ahead for the proper disposal of compost, garbage, recycling, leaf-and-yard waste and any other hazardous items you may collect. Need assistance? Call 3-1-1. Cleaning the Capital is an ideal way for neighbours, family and friends to work together and clean up their neighbourhood.

Young at Hearts Social Club For Seniors 55+

Tanglewood Community center, 30 Woodfield Drive, from 1:00-3:00 PM. See dates below. Book club 3:00 to 4:00

Activities are provided for a small donation fee of $2.00 this is purchase snacks.. No formal registration required, simply show up at the front entrance.
This is a great way to stay active within the community. meet with friends and make new ones with your friendly neighbors.
Fourth Monday of each month.

Volunteer Positions

Attendant of Public Skate Change Room – end of December to end of February

As a volunteer, you are a member of the Outdoor Activities team responsible to open and oversee the public skate change room of the Centre from 4:30 to 5:30 Monday to Friday stating in January and ending March 1 weather permitting. Depending on the number of volunteers interested this would be a two or three day a week commitment. You work primarily with our Rink Supervisor. You are at least 17 years old and prepared to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Clearance from the Police. Community Volunteer Hour program applies. Additional hours could be obtained by helping to clear and flood the rink, and volunteering to help at our Winter Carnival.
