The mission of the Tanglewood Hillsdale Community Association is to enhance the quality of life and promote community spirit, representing the views of its membership, and participating in charitable, educational and recreational activities.

Tanglewood Community fun Day

Sept 4, 2019, from 5 to 7pm Field beside Tanglewood community Center 30 Woodfield Dr.

All activities are free to participants Hotdogs, chips and pop will be provided by Hard Stones Grill. 100% of the proceeds will go to THCA. THCA will boil fresh corn.Tim Hortons will provide free Hot Chocolate and Coffee. Painted Pixie will do Face Painting. Full of Beans will bring an obstacle course. Radical science will bring cool chemistry demonstration and cotton candy will be for sale.

Community garden

The registration for the Community Garden is opening online mid-April and in-person on April 26 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 30 Woodfield Drive. Any questions send email to: [email protected]

Hydro One maintenance

Hydro One will be maintaining the hydro corridor in August 2019. In the map Merivale TS can be seen in the top right corner, and the line then runs through Medhurst Park, across Woodfield and out to Woodroffe.

FREE Mixed Sport and Activities for Children

Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:00pm Inside and Outside the Community center at 30 Woodfield Drive

Tennis Summer Program

{6 – 12 yrs} Tanglewood Tennis courts

Capital Kids Tennis progam is a Partnership with the Ontario Tennis Association and the City of Ottawa. Participants receive 4 one-hour Tennis lessons at various locations across Ottawa. Progressive tennis equipment is used, and instructors are Tennis Professional Association (TPA) certified.

Volunteer Positions

Assistant coach for T-ball & Soccer

As a volunteer, you are a member of the Outdoor Activities team responsible to help set up the field, supervise a group of children to learn basic skills of T-ball and soccer, play games with the children and help put the equipment away. These positions will be from 6:15 to 7:45pm and weather permitting. T-ball will be on Tuesdays May 28 to June 25 & Soccer will be on Thurs. May 30 to Aug 1 You are at least 17 years old and prepared to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Persons Clearance from the Police. Community Volunteer Hour program applies. Additional hours could be obtained by volunteering to help at our Arbor Day Spring Fair on April 26 and our Corn Roast on Sept 4.
