Free Recognition Luncheon and Annual General Meeting

Nov 9 from 11:30 to 1:30, Tanglewood Community Centre, 30 Woodfield Dr.

At our annual Recognition Luncheon and AGM , people in our community that have contributed to making our neighbourhood a better place to live are recognized with framed certificates. Under consideration will be review of Annual Reports including Finances, and Election of Officers/Directors at Large.

Community garden

The registration for the Community Garden is opening online mid-April and in-person on April 26 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 30 Woodfield Drive. Any questions send email to: [email protected]

Hydro One maintenance

Hydro One will be maintaining the hydro corridor in August 2019. In the map Merivale TS can be seen in the top right corner, and the line then runs through Medhurst Park, across Woodfield and out to Woodroffe.

Taoist Tai chi classes

Thursdays Sept. 12 to Oct 31 $30 for 8 weeks no drop in fee

Taoist Tai Chi arts calm the mind and refresh the body. They help improve balance, circulation and posture as well as increase strength and flexibility, promote relaxation and reduce stress. Practitioners, including those with specific health concerns such as high blood pressure, arthritis, low bone density, high cholesterol, MS or Parkinson’s, have all found benefits through the practice of this ancient Taoist art.

FREE Mixed Sport and Activities for Children

Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:00pm Inside and Outside the Community center at 30 Woodfield Drive

Recent community news

Rink Supervisor

As the Rink Supervisor, you are a member of the Programs and Events Team, providing outdoor fitness and recreation to neighbours and others of all ages by maintaining two sheets of ice. Join us and Andy’s Snowblowing & Lawncare as Supervisor(s) from December 15th to March 2nd. We seek adults to provide these services for compensation 25 hours/7 days a week. Volunteers will augment your service for 1.25 hours on weekdays. Total compensation is $5,200, divided bi-weekly. Required skills: ice making/cleaning, snowblowing, first aid, public relations, and good physical condition. A Police clearance to assist vulnerable persons is also a must.
