Virtual Winter Family Carnival

Saturday, January 22nd 2 - 4PM

Due to the new restrictions we will have to do this event virtual again. We will have a dance party & GAMES. Build a snowman and send us a picture to [email protected] to be entered in a draw for prizes.

Community garden

We are happy to announce that our Community Garden has received approval by Just Food and the City of Ottawa Public Health guidelines to be open. To become a registered garden member click on “More garden details” below.

Canopy Cover and Tree Inventory

Thanks in part to a Canada Summer Jobs Grant the neighbourhood was able to complete a tree inventory this past summer. This is the beginning of a process of tree planting in the neighbourhood. You will see the findings in the final report THCA Tree Report.

Featured programs & activities

Free Lessons: “I Love to Skate” & “I love to play Hockey”

Fridays, January 21, 2022 (depending on Ottawa Public Health directives) for 5 weeks Skating lessons 4:30 to 5:30 & Hockey lessons 5:30 to 6:30

Learn the basics of skating & how to play hockey. Some lessons will be canceled due to bad weather at the discretion of the instructor and dependent on the weather conditions. weather. Participants will be required to wear masks and two-metre physical distancing rules apply.
Students will be provided with a voucher to purchase their own skates and helmets (at Canadian Tire) and parents need to stay on the ice during the lessons.

Crafting Session {Adults}

Second Sunday of each month from 2 to 4pm

Adults will bring whatever they wish to work on (i.e. knitting, sewing, embroidery, etc.) and share ideas.
Socialize with others that enjoy being creative. Participants must bring all their own supplies as this is a free program.

Tobogan Hill

For fun in the snow

Yes we do!!
It’s on Benlea at the curve in the road
It’s open to everyone!!
Please practice physical distancing with participants not in your household.
Please come back at another time if there are 10 people on the hill.
