Wanted Philip Slobidzian arrested
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Fraud Unit informs the public that Philip SLOBODZIAN has turned himself in this morning.
He is charged with 2 counts of Fraud under $5000, and 2 counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
He will appear in court today.

Seeking public assistance to locate wanted Philip Slobodzian
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Fraud Unit is seeking public assistance to locate Philip SLOBODZIAN, wanted and charged with 2 counts Fraud under $5000 and of 2 counts of Possession of proceeds of crime in relation to construction scams.
Philip Slobodzian is described as a Caucasian male, 44 years old, 6 feet tall (183cm), approx. 200 lbs (91kg) with brown hair. See picture.
He is believed to be residing in the Arnprior or Renfrew county area of Ontario.
Over the past years, Slobodzian has been involved in door-to-door solicitation of business where he encouraged unsuspecting victims to have their roofs repaired. In order to secure his services, clients provided him deposits with an understanding that the work would commence on specific dates. When the roof repairs did not commence as expected, Slobodzian did not provide any explanation to clients, who found that he ignored their calls.
“Mr. Slobodzian has prior convictions under the Consumer Protection Act for his unethical business practices,” said Sergeant Guy Thivierge of the Fraud Unit. “He is subject to a probation order as a result of convictions that were registered under this statute. The acts that form the bases of these complaints are similar in nature to his most recent offences.”
