Beyond Us vs. Them: Bridging Differences Within Neighbourhoods

Join us for an opportunity to hear the stories of three Ottawa neighbourhoods that acted together to accomplish shared goals.  Be inspired by their experiences of building community across difference: different perspectives, different backgrounds, different identities.   Discussion and questions will follow to connect the dots to community safety.

 When:
Monday, April 29 2019 from 8:00 to 10 am
Coffee and information tables at 8:00 am, program starts at 8:30 am

Where:
City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West
Andrew Haydon Hall (Council Chambers)

Presentations:

·       Collaboration to create change: The Bank Street BIA and Centretown stakeholders working together to address shared concerns.

·       How Overbrook Community Association built community through theatre.

·       Building  a community  space: Van Lang residents leaders, Westboro Beach Community Association and partner agencies make it happen
