Spring Clean-up 2026
Spring has arrived, bringing an opportunity for students to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and give back to our community. On May 15, 2026 thirty-two students and teachers/supervisors from Redeemer Christian High School on Colonnade Road helped clean-up our public space around the Tanglewood Park Community Centre.
As part of their service day, the students worked together to clean up litter and other waste from the tennis, basketball and ball-hockey courts, our park as well as the surrounding green space adjacent to the Brick (along the berm) and Rona (pathway). They also removed leaves/weeds from the landscaping around the building and washed all the windows inside and outside. Thanks to the City of Ottawa for supplies, and Tim Hortons for the Timbits.
Our dedicated volunteers Graeme, Niki, Esther, Caitlyn, Matt and Pauline from THCA ensured the students had an enjoyable and productive visit. Spring cleaning through the efforts of these students helps to improve the community’s overall appearance and impact on the environment. We appreciate the annual dedication, creativity and impact of these youth volunteers.
