Tanglewood Hillsdale Residents Association, Inc.
THRA (Tanglewood Hillsdale Residents Association) Inc. is a provincially incorporated not-for-Profit organization founded in the 1980s to challenge the Hunt Club extension and the Roydon Place development.
Although not successful in stopping either the development of Roydon Place or the construction of the West Hunt Club Extension they did manage to secure a number of concessions from the developers and the city.
They also established a reputation for the THRA as being a force to be reckoned with, which would figure prominently in getting concessions from the City of Nepean and the Developer with respect to the CrossRoads Development on Hunt Club.
These concessions included the construction of the Tanglewood Park Community Centre, a $40,000 donation from the Crossroads Developer towards the centre’s construction costs and traffic mitigation measures.
