Tanglewood Park Community Centre
The Tanglewood Park Community Centre, located at 30 Woodfield Drive, Ottawa was built in the mid-late 1990s as the result of the signing of a 10 year partnership agreement between the Tanglewood Hillsdale Resident Association (THRA) Incorporated, the Nepean LIONs Club Inc. and the City of Nepean.
This landmark agreement was the first of its kind in the region, placing the management and control of the facility in the hands of a management committee, on which each of the partners had equal representation.
This original agreement was not recognized by the City of Ottawa when it took over the City of Nepean and has since been replaced by a Key Holder Management Agreement between the City of Ottawa and the Tanglewood Hillsdale Community Association (THCA) The THCA is a wholly owned operating entity of the THRA Incorporated.
The Nepean LIONS Club Inc. has since merged with the Barrhaven LIONs Club Inc. and continues to operate out of Barrhaven. and the original and autonomous Management Committee is now a standing committee of the THCA.
