Reserving the Tanglewood Park Community Centre:
THCA’s practices on booking the Centre are guided by the Rental Policy of the City’s Recreation, Culture and Facilities Services Department. While our calendar strives to be reliably current, it may not always reflect all rental contracts or cancellations yet to be posted. If you are interested in booking the facility more than six months in advance from today’s date, please kindly contact the volunteer Scheduler at [email protected] to confirm space availability.
90% of your questions can be answered by checking the room availability calendar and web pages/sidebar. Should you require additional information, or BY APPOINTMENT ONLY want to view the facility please email [email protected]
Tanglewood Park Community Centre: Rooms within the Centre are available for rentals (subject to approval) whenever there are no community programs, events sponsored by the Association or contracts already established. Rent individual rooms or the entire facility for one occasion, weekly or monthly. Air conditioned and fully wheelchair accessible including a universal handicapped washroom.
Click on the following rooms (underlined) to check availability (calendar), and to answer questions regarding rates, room capacity, etc and to submit the on-line booking form. We have found that 90% of your questions can be answered by looking at these pages and side bars.
Please note the Renter is responsible for setting up all tables, chairs and equipment. All tables and chairs must be wiped clean before being put away. No janitorial services are provided. All areas used by the Renter including the entry, bathrooms and kitchen are to be swept and mopped. Renters must pay for all the time they are using the building, including set-up, decorating for events, tear-down and clean-up.
Rental fees and insurance are paid by cheque, cash, and interac e-transfer auto deposit to [email protected] (we do not have on-site debit or credit processing facilities). Separate cheque or cash is required for the $100.00 “Warranty Deposit”.
Tanglewood Park features a playground with swings and play structure, a community garden with picnic table, bike rack, public tennis courts, basketball court, ball-hockey court, and a city-operated baseball diamond.
The rental of the park area around the building is administered by the City of Ottawa. Contact the City Wide Allocations for information on rental of the park at 613 580-2595 or by e-mail at [email protected].
Rentals of the building are managed on a volunteer basis by the community association (THCA) on behalf of the City. Please note: To view the space you must schedule an appointment by contacting the Scheduler at [email protected]. The Scheduler is the main point of contact and is responsible for providing information about facility rentals and finalizing all details relating to bookings.
