Arbor Day Spring Fair
Everybody is Welcome! Come celebrate the importance of our trees.

You can Celebrate this event and still keep a social distance. Here are some ideas.
- Join us for an in person event in Medhurst park near the new Basketball court, Sunday April 24th from 2 -4 pm (rain date is Sat May 7)
- We will have a registration table for Tree Ottawa and their tree Giveaway program (they will give tree seedlings at the Jubilee event on May 23rd)
- Email [email protected] to register to receive a tree from Tree Ottawa
- We will talk about trees and how to protect them.
- We will have games and a scavenger hunt.
- We will have a bike decoration parade, EnviroCentre will attend and set up a booth with some bike lights and info about cycling in our area. They will be coming with the Cycling Safety Awareness Program .
- We will celebrate the successful completion of the Basketball Court Refurbishment Project, by having a basketball tournament
- Take pictures of Trees as you are out for a walk.

- Why do we have trees? Here are the benefits of trees
- Draw a picture of your favorite tree and share it on social media.
- Draw with chalk on your driveway so people can see it when they walk by.

Does anyone have any pictures of Medhurst park before the Tornado? Or the trees beside the apartment building?

Let us know how you celebrate Arbor Day in April
Keith Egli and NROCRC will come and help us celebrate our Basketball Court Project Inauguration. We will have free Hot chocolate and Coffee from Tim Hortons. Ecology Ottawa will bring some free trees and information on trees.
