To register for TPCC run programs offered below: (if you need financial assistance for any of these programs see this link: )

1) We invite you to join some of our programs by registering online by filling in this google form and pay by e-transfer to [email protected]  (please put in the comments of your payment for ‘program‘ for ‘your name or your child’s name )
All Garden boxes are rented. To be on the waiting list for a garden box Please email the garden coordinator [email protected]

2) Mail completed Registration Waiver and Release and a cheque payable to “Tanglewood Park Community Center” 30 Woodfield Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K2G 3Y5

3) Drop-off your completed registration form and your payment at:
30 Woodfield Drive, mailbox is located to the left of the main entrance.

4) Attend a program or our next neighborhood event and register there.

Board Game Night

Second Monday of every month 6:30-8:30 pm @ Hillsdale Hall

EXCEPT all the public holidays fall on Monday

Cost: free

Participants will be asked to register and bring their own board games that they wish to play. Any board games including but not limited to chessboard or checkers or backgammon, are welcome but limit it to a game that can be played from start to finish within 2 hours. Families are welcome (ie any age).

Free tai chi

Tuesdays Dec 5th 2023 to May 28th 2024 at 2pm

Winter session will be inside the Tanglewood Community centre. Dress comfortably, loose clothing preferred. Please bring indoor shoes to keep the exercise class room clean and dry. The entire set will be taught over the program duration, with each move demonstrated and practiced repeatedly.
This program is based on modified Yang Tai Chi, by Master Moy Lin-Shin. These arts calm the mind and refresh the body. They help improve balance, circulation and posture as well as increase strength and flexibility, promote relaxation and reduce stress. Participants, including those with specific health concerns such as high blood pressure, arthritis, low bone density, high cholesterol, MS or Parkinson’s, have all found benefits through the practice of this ancient Tai Chi art.

Crafternoon {Adults}

This “Crafternoon” is a time for you to work on whatever special project you have on the go (knitting, embroidery, sewing, sketching, etc.) while enjoying a cup of tea and good conversation. Please note, these are not lessons, but rather a chance to get to know fellow crafters in our community, to inspire each other, and to learn from each other.

Cost: FREE (Just bring your own supplies)
Day: 2nd Sunday of the month, September-June

T-ball {3 to 8 yrs}

Thursdays June 13 to Aug 15  from 6:30 to 7:30 pm  (10 weeks)
Learn the basics of playing baseball
For children 3 to 8 years old in the baseball diamond beside the Community Centre
Cost: $25  for 10 weeks (one member per household that has an unexpired THCA membership  -$4 per program)

Children’s Soccer {4 to 10 yrs}

Tuesdays June 11 to Aug 13th, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm (10 weeks)
Learn the Basics of Soccer For children 4 to 10 years old in the field near the Community Center
Timbits will provide balls and uniforms for each child.
Cost: $25 for 10 weeks (one member per household that has an unexpired THCA membership  -$4 per program)

Learn to skate

Small group instruction for any age (weather permitting) Learn the basics of skating. There will be no refunds for lessons canceled due to bad weather ( but a class may be added on to the end of February) at the discretion of the instructor and dependent on the weather conditions.

WHERE:  TCR – Tanglewood community Rink
WHEN:  Saturdays, 1:15 to 2pm OR 2:15 to 3pm
January 20th to Feb 17th  2024 (not Jan 27th)

Cost $40 for 4 lessons If you are a THCA Member then one person in your household can have a $4 discount on the cost of these lessons.

EQUIPMENT needed:   Skates and helmet (recommended with cage)

Parents need to stay in the building or on the ice during the lessons.

This FREE program is offered to children who do not know how to skate and cannot afford to register for city programs with cost.

Toboggan Run

It’s on Benlea at the curve in the road
It’s open to everyone!! Please follow the rules of being safe.

Please practice physical distancing with participants not in your household.

TPCC Summer Camp

THIS CAMP IS NOT running this summer

Summer fun with outdoor activities for ages 8 to 14 years old. Bring your own lunch. Spaces are limited.
Dates: July 10 – 13, July 17 – 20,
July 24 – 28, July 31 – Aug 3, Aug 8 – 10,
Aug 14 – 17, Aug 21 – 24, Aug 28 – 31
Times: 10am – 3pm (before (9-10am) and after care (3-4pm) offered at no extra charge

Yoga {Adults }

This Yoga class is a slow-paced style of yoga with asanas or postures held for 3 to5 minutes. The goal is to stretch and not to stress. It is therapeutic for joints and helps with flexibility and mobility.
