TPCC Run Programs

To register for TPCC run programs offered below:

1) We invite you to join some of our programs by registering and paying as a participant on-line.
To register for a garden box Please email the garden coordinator [email protected] for the link to the registration form.

2) Mail completed Registration Waiver and Release and a cheque payable to “Tanglewood Park Community Center” 30 Woodfield Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K2G 3Y5

3) Drop-off your completed registration form and your completed COVID TPCC programs agreement and your payment at:
30 Woodfield Drive, mailbox is located to the left of the main entrance.

4) Attend a program and register there.

Tanglewood Park Community Garden

This is a friendly reminder now that fall is quickly approaching this is to remind you that all garden plots have to be emptied by no latter than Oct 15. Thank- you in advance

Welcome to the Tanglewood Park Community Garden (TPCG), a program of our Community Centre You can rent a box to grow edible plants.
Read over this agreement and register for a box. Also email the Garden Coordinator so he can assign you a box.

CPR & AED course

Crafting Session {Adults}

Enjoy a cup of tea, good conversation, and time for you to work on whatever special project you have on the go (knitting, embroidery, sewing, sketching, etc.). Please note, these are not lessons, but rather a chance to get to know fellow crafters in our community, to inspire each other, and to learn from each other.

Cost: FREE Bring your own supplies.

 TPCC Summer Camp

Summer fun with outdoor activities for ages 8 to 14 years old. Bring your own lunch. Spaces are limited.
Dates: July 10 – 13, July 17 – 20,
July 24 – 28, July 31 – Aug 3, Aug 8 – 10,
Aug 14 – 17, Aug 21 – 24, Aug 28 – 31
Times: 10am – 3pm (before (9-10am) and after care (3-4pm) offered at no extra charge

Euchre Nights

Join us for Card Fun! Get ready for a fun-filled evening of cards with friends at
our Euchre Night.
Day: 3rd Friday of the month
Date: Starting July 21st
Time: Doors open at 6:30pm, Games start at 7pm
Cost: $8 cash at the door. Don’t forget quarters for
euchres!

Young at Hearts’ 55+ Social Club

Come join us on the 4th  Monday of every other month ( April 24th, June 26th and Aug 28th) from 1:00 am to 3:00 pm for a variety of Fun activities.

T-ball {3 to 8 yrs}

Thursdays June 15 to Aug 24 (not Aug 10)  from 6:30 to 7:30 pm  (10 weeks)
Learn the basics of playing baseball
For children 3 to 8 years old in the baseball diamond beside the Community Centre
Cost: THCA Members $6 Non-Members $10 for 5 weeks

Children’s Soccer {4 to 10 yrs} 

Tuesdays June 13 – Aug 15th, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Learn the Basics of Soccer For children 4 to 10 years old in the field near the Community Center
Timbits will provide balls and uniforms for each child.
Cost: THCA Members $21 Non-members $25

Free Seniors Exercise Classes online

Weekly Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2:30-3:30.   Attend as many classes or stay at a class as long as you like!  These are chair exercise classes with some standing for balance exercises. Range of Motion, Rhythm and Co-ordination, Strength and Balance

Tanglewood has a TOBOGAN hill
Tobagan Run

It’s on Benlea at the curve in the road
It’s open to everyone!! Please follow the rules of being safe.
Please practice physical distancing with participants not in your household.
Please come back at another time if there are 10 people on the hill.

Learn to skate

Small group instruction for any age (weather permitting) Learn the basics of skating. There will be no refunds for lessons canceled due to bad weather ( but a class may be added on to the end on February 25) at the discretion of the instructor and dependant on the weather conditions.

Cost $40 for 6 lessons If you are a THCA Member then one person in your household can have a $4 discount on the cost of these lessons.

EQUIPMENT needed:   Skates and helmet for child

Parents need to stay in the building or on the ice during the lessons.

Youth Soccer {10 to 17 years}

Due to closures being extended to the end of June, this program will be shortened for this year

Yoga {Adults }

This Yoga class is a slow-paced style of yoga with asanas or postures held for 3 to5 minutes. The goal is to stretch and not to stress. It is therapeutic for joints and helps with flexibility and mobility.
Please bring a mat and your water bottle

Cost:    $75 for 10 weeks (THCA members $4 less)
